As Deputy Director for Construction and Program Coordinator, participates as a senior advisor to the Program Director, advising upon and implementing programmatic functions related to the integration of NIOSH Construction Sector research across NIOSH Divisions and external partners and ensuring alignment of work within the NIOSH Construction Sector program. Represents NIOSH in meetings and at conferences for internal CDC, governmental and external venues requiring knowledge and understanding of NIOSH programs, activities, goals and objectives. Responsible for development and implementation of the NIOSH occupational health research program for over eight million Construction Sector workers. Provides the highest level of service and leadership to internal CDC partners and external partners and customers. NIOSH mission and activities require a highly leveraged, highly matrixed and networked series of collaborations and relationships which integrate all of NIOSH Divisions, as well as external State, Federal, and private partners. Critical to the success of the program are both informal and formal, structured activities and programs designed to ensure the highest level of participation, collaboration, cooperation and empowerment for internal and external partners and customers. Ultimate coordinative and managerial responsibility for the conduct of these activities.
