An essential component of the Global Center for Safety is the outreach and research to practice activities with other businesses, professional societies, community groups and agencies located within the region and globally. The Center serves the unique and diverse needs of industry through innovative strategies of Prevention through Design to meet those needs.

Examples of Our Outreach Activities

• OSHA Education Center won the Susan Harwood training grant of $140,000 
  • The center will provide worker training on confined space, fall protection, chemical hazards, hazard communication, and road construction training to tribal communities.
  • The target audience includes minority and hard to reach tribal leaders and workers.
  • Existing and revised training materials will be used.
